With the Tiger-fibel and the Panther-fibel, the Wehrmacht opened a completely new path in the design of training manuals in World War II.
These manuals were used to train crew, commanders and squad leaders for the Tiger VI and the Panther V armored vehicle.
The Tiger-fibel was issued on August 1, 1943 by General Heinz Guderian, as service standard D 656/27. The Panther-fibel on July 1, 1944 as D 655/27.
